Nadia Petrova is a Russian Professional Tennis Player. She plays in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF). She has been Pro since 1999 and has since won 13 singles tournaments (WTA and ITF combined) and 18 doubles tournaments (WTA and ITF combined as of September 23, 2009). Petrova plays right-handed with a 2-handed backhand. She was born in Moscow, Russia and trained mostly in Russia and some in Egypt when she was young. Petrova is currently (as of September 23, 2009) ranked number 14 worldwide in the WTA.
